He's landed in everything from vineyards to apparel
to his own type of grass, but pro golfer Greg
Norman is an ace on the real-estate front, too.
He has just closed a $25 million deal to sell
50 acres at his home club in Hobe Sound to developers
the Zuckerman Group.
The company plans to break ground in November
for 87 luxury homes for the Medalist Country Club
Estates & Spa at Hobe Sound. Buyers of the
homes, which will be priced from $700,000 to about
$1,4 million, will be invited to apply for membership
at the "Shark"-designed Medalist Golf
Club. (Some presidential history: That's where
Bill Clinton hurt his knee in a late-night stumble
in 1997.)
Watch for all kinds of residential development
to accelerate in South Florida, now that Zuckerman
has also made a deal to open an office with New
York real-estate lender Cooper-Horowitz Inc.
